Community Involvement
Christine has more than 15 years of experience serving the nonprofit sector of greater Milwaukee. As with her professional life, Christine Burke-Duecker believes strongly in giving back and participating in personal causes that affect her community: Christine Burke-Duecker is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Milwaukee and maintains her role on its Steering Committee. Christine is an active participant in the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse. The WBCS was founded in 1998 as an all-volunteer charitable organization; its mission is to support breast and prostate cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Christine maintains a position on the Board of Directors of My Home, Your Home, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 to help abused and neglected children in the foster-care system and has additional programs serving nearly 900 children and adults annually. In addition, Christine Burke-Duecker takes an active role in the Platypus Society of the Milwaukee County Zoo, and is on the Board of Directors of Proud Parents of Twins.
